I'm blue... daba de daba da!

I couldn't believe our luck when I woke on the Tuesday morning (28th Jan) at 6am, yay I knew the guys will be here for sure to do the interior of the pool...yippee!

They arrived about 7.30am and got stuck into it straight away.
There were about 4 guys and because it was so warm, they had to put up huge tarps to stop the interior from drying to quick.
The next day, they came back to do the acid wash and to start to fill it. The kids couldn't wait till it was full and sat in it when there was enough water to play in.

It was amazing how warm the water was, obviously with all the hot weather we've been having, the concrete just soaked it up, it was just like hoping into a bath and continued like that even when it was full...awesome!

This is the view from the master bed. It took 2 days to fill completely

I'm loving the fact that the boys can do bombs and splash about (within reason of course) without getting the glass wet, unlike our last one where we were constantly having to wash the water marks off the glass from all the splashing because it was so close! Freedom at last...I love it.

It was great to have it filled in time for my sister and family to enjoy as well before they went back to WA. So happy that the weather stayed beautiful and hot too

J. Stevens Said- Michelle, we decided not to have a pool this time and I so regret it after seeing yours...boo! It looks ever so inviting your so lucky to be able to have such a big area for the pool and still have an enormous yard. If only all estates were like your one! The plants look awesome, so lush and green and tropical...love it. Great too that it was completed for your sister and her family to enjoy whilst they stayed with you, nothing would've been worse on those hot days we've been having to see an empty pool!

Me - Thanks Jo. We pinch ourselves all the time on how lucky we are to have a big block and no double story to cast a shadow (or look into) on the pool side which is N/W facing so that's a huge bonus. Yes I couldn't imagine what I would do if it wasn't filled, though we only live a 5 minute walk to the river so worst case, we could've taken a picnic lunch and chilled.
