Green green grass of home!

Well the weekend arrived and we were about to lay 760m2 of Sapphire turf to both the front and back yard...oh boy was this going to be a task.

5.30 am Saturday morning we were ready to greet the driver who was delivering our turf...all 14 pallets of the stuff, we knew we were in for a big day.

We started with laying the front as this was the smaller of the 2 and we wanted to get stuck into it before it got too hot.

It had been predicted all week, that we'd be getting rain over the weekend which didn't eventuate thank god, (however showers later that night would've been brilliant) but a nice cloud cover early turned out to be 28-32 degrees full sun later on in the day.

I suffered with first degree sun burn and a 'Rhonda' look like nothing else, but we did manage to get it all done by the time Ketut brought drinks the around at 6pm.

Suffice to say, the pool got a major workout when we were done, and we now have a backyard that not only looks magic, but resembles a footy field.

But thank god it's over!

hopefully it won't take long for the new grass to sew into the grass that we laid just after we moved in

looking from the pool area - where the smaller hut  will be (in a couple of weeks)

the reason the fence steps back in the centre of the picture is for our daybed that we will be building next

If your wondering why we have 2 letter boxes, it's because until the estate is completely finished, we can only have our mail delivered by car!!!!!
