The pool you have when you have no pool...

It's been a while since my last post oops, but since the electricians finished off what they had to do last thursday, nothing's been happening :(

We had the roof insulation being done while the sparkie's were installing the alarm and intercom and that was it....nothing Friday and nothing today.

We went up over the weekend to check on the pool to make sure it wasn't getting too much water in it from all the rain. It was a shock when we first got there to see that we not only had a concrete pool with no water in it, but we now have a dam around it!

Yep...1000's of litres of water was pooling around the pool area and backyard thanks to all the rain we've had over the last couple of days or so. There was so much water that it was almost up to the alfresco.

The further we looked into it the more we realised that most of the water was from our neighbours place that sits a little higher than us and even though we have a fence between, it makes no difference when there's no landscaping or drainage.

After the massive storm we had over night on Friday, we went back up on Saturday to now find the air-conditioning duct in the theatre was hanging from the ceiling and water was dripping from it. Lucky I was looking through the windows to make sure all was well inside otherwise we wouldn't have known, but talk about disheartening when you see something go belly up!

We couldn't figure out why the duct was hanging, then suddenly I remembered seeing the guy who was installing the roof insulation on Thursday did it through the roof tiles. That's when Geoff looked up at the roof and noticed the tiles weren't put back properly.

We can't work out how they got the insulation through without recking the sarking (blanket thingy) which is directly under the tiles, so we will have to put that on the list of things to check when we do PCI.

Here's what we faced on Saturday morning...
