Another step closer

...to finishing the 'Cinema' that is. I managed to grab some energy this afternoon and put up the drapes  and they've made a huge difference already.

Once I get around to making the headboard/pelmet, which will go all the way across, as I'm also hanging curtains on the other side of the lights and fixed to a batten instead of on a track.

Though a little longer than needed (and I'm not taking them up), and still needing a little adjusting with the pleats, I'm happy just to have something other than 2 single sheets hung!

Now you must be wondering after seeing the photo, what's up with the air duct? Well that has to be done in the same black material as the night sky...ah didn't think of that did you?
As for the censor light to the left of it, we don't need that anymore as we now have the new 'Push' control system (also seen on the block) in and have just left it there but it'll be covered by the night sky which goes inside the bulkhead.

I also wanted LED strip lighting...(see pic below)

around the outside of the sky panels but it was too expensive so I'm happy just to have the stars twinkle (or stagnant) instead. Looks awesome don't you think?

  1. Looking great!. Now I will have to keep a close eye on this project. Planning on doing the whole cinema experience too. Love those sparkly ceilings. Seen on display on the Garden retreat at Thornton. So pretty, looks like the night sky full of stars.
